Due to the shift in the opening of the Airport Berlin Brandenburg, the Deutsche Bahn (German railway) timetabling changes as follows:


RE 9 Berlin Hbf - Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg:


RE 7 Berlin Zoologischer Garten - Berlin Hbf - Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg - Wünsdorf-Waldstadt,
RB 14 Nauen - Berlin Hbf - Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg / Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg - Senftenberg,
RB 22 Potsdam - Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg:

The lines RE 7, RB 14 and RB 22 don`t run as planned over Airport Berlin Brandenburg, till opening they still travel  via Berlin-Schönefeld Airport.



Timetable from opening:

AIRPORT EXPRESS AND S-BAHN: By the time BER opens, the regional service, called Airport Express, connects Airport Berlin Brandenburg every 15 minutes with the city of Berlin. Journy times:


22 minutes to Südkreuz or to Ostbahnhof

26 minutes to Alexanderplatz

29 minutes to Friedrichstraße

30 minutes to Hauptbahnhof

39 minutes to Zoologischer Garten


The connection with the Berlin city railway (RE7, RB14) and with the Südkreuz-Hauptbahnhof (RE9) line every 30 minutes, thus providing services between BER and Hauptbahnhof every 15 minutes. Additionally, the S-Bahn trains run every 10 minutes (S9 and S45)


REGIONAL SERVICES TO BRANDENBURG: The RB22 services goes from Potsdam to Golm and on to BER-Terminal; journey time from Potsdam Hauptbahnhof to BER is 42 minutes. Further direct services to Brandenburg are the Airport Express, the Berlin city railway and Potsdam Babelsberg to Dessau (RE7) and through Königs Wusterhausen to Senftenberg (RB14).


INTERCITY SERVICES: As well as regional rail and bus services, Airport Berlin Brandenburg is also well connected to the intercity rail network: there will be direct services from BER to Hamburg, Münster and Hanover, as well as Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Cracow. The tracks to and from the new airport are fully compatible with the ICE.
